A Taste of San Diego’s Wine and Beer Bus Tour

Spend the afternoon with your IvyHour friends touring two local wineries AND a brewery. The three hour bus tour starts in Old Town at 1:30 pm, and knowledgeable and fun tour guides provide colorful insights into San Diego’s wine and beer industries. This unique tour is small and exclusive: only 16 people are on the bus!  The tour has beer and wine for all tastes.  The cost of the ticket includes all wine and beer tasting as well as transportation for only $65. Kick off the weekend in Style with Friends @ The Old Globe!! Join us and enjoy one of the quintessential battle-of-the-sexes comedy!  Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew ....Babtista has two daughter that need to be married off...they convince the wily Petruchio to take the challenge of domensticating the willful "shrew".

Lawn Bowling Mini Lesson &Game

IvyHour & Jesi  Betancourt

Join us for some great summer fun! We will be learning lawn bowling at the San Diego Law Bowling Club in Balboa Park. We will be gathering on August 8th at 1 pm for a mini-lesson followed by a game.

Cost: $15 cash per person which includes all equipment (bowls, mats, scoreboards, etc.), use of clubhouse, a mini lesson/overview and assistance from volunteers (to explain rules or help with technique) as you play a game.

Whites are not required, but encouraged. All you need bring are flat-soled shoes, sunscreen and a bottle (or 2) of water.

After the game we will get together at the WineSteals in Hillcrest for pizza and wine.

A night at the San Diego Art Museum

IvyHour, Jesi Betancourt and Lydia Rivera

Join us as we enjoy an evening of cocktails and the art at the San Diego Art Museum.  The doors open at 5PM. Tickets are at $10 for IvyHour, free for museum members. We will be treated to Geoffrey Cunningham's interactive work entitled: Office of Blame. The Office has collected hundreds of blame forms and phone calls from the American public, allowing them to vocolize their frustration with society.  Pianist Joshua White will follow up his popular jazz concert of lat summer by putting together new songs and a new lineup. There will be a private lounge are for IvyHour.  Cash bar will be available.
